BOSTON, May 5, 2020 MEGA International, a global software firm recognized as a leader in Enterprise Architecture for 11 consecutive years, announces a partnership with BIAN, the principal collaborative network of leading banks across the world. BIAN members will be able to use BIAN service landscape models directly in MEGA software solutions and deliver value faster through the use of a standardized framework.

BIAN is a collaborative not-for-profit ecosystem formed of leading banks, technology providers, consultants and academics from all over the world. It helps professionals to lower the cost of banking, increase their speed to innovation in the industry, and boosts banks’ activities by revisiting and navigating around their existing resources.

Thanks to this partnership, BIAN members will be able to easily import BIAN models into HOPEX, including capability maps specifically designed for the banking industry. These models will help them to quickly start their enterprise architecture initiative based on standard templates.

“The banking industry has been one of our key active markets since the creation of MEGA. This partnership with BIAN is a great opportunity to help organizations accelerate their Enterprise Architecture initiative.” Lucio de Risi, Founder & CEO of MEGA.

Because they don’t have to start from scratch, architects can quickly get results for their organization and avoid the hassle of entering or creating new models. The use of BIAN models allows banks to take advantage of a service-oriented architecture that incorporates banking best practices while reducing costs.

“HOPEX is a reference in enterprise architecture. Thanks to this partnership, our members will be able to combine the relevance of our models with the power of the HOPEX solution, thus gain in competitiveness while reducing costs.” Hans Tesselaar, Executive Director of BIAN

About BIAN

Established in 2008, the Banking Industry Architecture Network (BIAN) is an independent, member owned, not-for-profit association, designed to build and promote a common architectural framework for banking interoperability issues. BIAN’s goal is to define operability and semantic definitions for IT services in the banking industry. The community of over 80 members focuses on creating a standard semantic banking services landscape, while ensuring consistent service definitions, levels of detail and boundaries. This will help banks enhance the flexibility and agility of their IT systems by reducing the cost and complexity of integrating common ‘banking enterprise services’ in an overall Component Based Architecture or Microservices Architecture. Financial institutions, software vendors, and system integrators, along with technology partners, are invited to join the association and play a collaborative role with other industry leaders in defining, building and implementing next-generation banking platforms.
