About our members
Members of BIAN drive the banking industry by understanding the requirements and trends as well as by designing and providing new IT-solutions therefore.
The association lives by the participation of its members. BIAN members contribute actively in the association. However the degree of involvement can vary according multiple aspects. Influencing for the involvement are e.g. the role within BIAN, specific working topics and the current projects within BIAN and the own company.
BIAN Membership is open to organizations that conduct business in the banking industry. Banks, software vendors and service providers are all very welcome to join our association. The Membership of banks is especially appreciated because of their special role in this industry.
Benefits of BIAN membership for banks: Participation allows banks to help shape the future of banking services, whilst increasing the agility of IT infrastructures, which in turn will reduce development and integration costs
Benefits of BIAN Membership for software vendors: BIAN membership, therefore, gives software vendors a competitive edge, with greater insight into the exact needs and requirements of banks.
Benefits for system integrators: Member systems integrators (SI) will have access to a broad set of software vendors, whose banking enterprise products and services can be utilized and integrated into overall solutions at a lower overall cost.
Based on our ‘IT-strategy 2020’ plan, KfW has decided to significantly redesign part of our current IT landscape. As part of this transition process the clear focus is on standardisation. Using the BIAN community and materials we strongly believe that BIAN will help us meet our IT objectives. What’s more, as one of the largest development banks worldwide we hope our membership will attract other development banks to join BIAN and help promote standardisation across our market.Michael Strauss
