BIAN readies first deliverables
The Banking Industry Architecture Network (BIAN) is set to publish its initial deliverables in June, somewhat over a year after it was spun out of an SAP-led initiative (IBS Online, May 2008). Those deliverables, which will be available to the industry as a whole, will comprise documents covering the services landscape, meta-model definition, services lifecycle management, and service repositories and registries, plus business definitions for service lifecycle management, payment agreements, payment execution, clearing and settlement, business partners, business partner agreements, and business partner relationships.
