About BIAN

BIAN – Banking Industry Architecture Network

The Banking Industry Architecture Network is created to establish, promote and provide a common framework for banking interoperability issues and to become and to be recognized as a world-class reference point for interoperability in the banking industry.
It will hence be a main contributor to the knowledge and services needed to facilitate and implement banking interoperability in order to develop and operate a community assisting user organizations with platform and services. The Association will offer benefits to its members and to the public, including but not limited to:

  1. gathering and definition of banking interoperability requirements, scenarios and good practices
  2. interoperability impact analysis, assessment and definition and supporting methods and tools
  3. testing and interoperability validation
  4. training

In addition, the Association will provide input to research coordination in banking interoperability, to policy and roadmap developments. The Association will contribute to dissemination activities, such as organization of and participation in workshops, industry conferences and fairs, publications, and press releases related to banking interoperability. The Association can take all actions and initiate all required activities within the Purpose of the Association.
